You will be responsible for checking wristbands and vendor badges to ensure everyone is wearing either a badge or a wristband. If someone is missing a wristband you will direct them to the box office. As part of the role you will also be responsible for keeping track of the people entering and exiting each room in order to ensure we don’t go over capacity in any room.

Panel Room Coordinator

You will be responsible for maintaining the PA System including microphones for panelists and moderators.

Screening Room Coordinator & Projectionist

You will be responsible for ensuring movies are playing at the correct time based on the screening schedule. Will require changing Blu Ray and DVD movies as well as turning off the projector during breaks.

Box Office

You will be responsible for taking tickets and issuing the correct wristband as well as making change for door sales.

Celebrity Assistant

If you have volunteered prior at the Calgary Horror Con, you can put your name in as a Celebrity Assistant. This requires you to be available for both days of the convention.

Floater or Spare

We require floaters in case someone doesn’t show up for the shift or if we need help in a certain area. If not busy you will be assisting in various tasks during your shift
